The schedules represent Brazos Midstream’s expectations as of its August 10, 2026 announcement. Cassidy I is already under construction, while the new release describes Cassidy II as a planned construction project.

What Is Brazos Midstream Building at the Cassidy Complex?

Cassidy II will add 300 MMcf/d of cryogenic natural-gas processing capacity at Brazos Midstream’s Cassidy complex in Glasscock County. Once the two Cassidy plants are operating, the complex will contain two separately identified 300 MMcf/d processing trains.

Cryogenic processing separates natural-gas liquids from the raw natural-gas stream using low-temperature equipment. Brazos identified the plant type, capacity, location and expected service date but did not announce specific equipment suppliers, construction contractors or individual work packages.

The Cassidy complex is part of Brazos Midstream’s continuing buildout in the Midland Basin. The company said it has secured grid power and related infrastructure at the site to support the complex and allow timely expansion as producer demand develops.

When Will Cassidy I and Cassidy II Enter Service?

Brazos expects Cassidy I to begin service before the end of 2026 and Cassidy II to follow in summer 2027. The company set a November 2026 mechanical-completion target for Cassidy I, creating a defined construction and commissioning sequence ahead of Cassidy II.

Brazos announced the start of Cassidy I construction in February 2026. At that time, the company described the plant as the initial unit at a new processing complex and said its completion would increase Midland Basin capacity to 800 MMcf/d.

The newly announced Cassidy II plant represents the next 300 MMcf/d increment. If both projects enter service on their current schedules, Brazos expects its Midland Basin nameplate processing capacity to reach approximately 1.1 Bcf/d during summer 2027.

What Supports the Cassidy II Expansion?

Brazos tied the Cassidy II expansion to approximately 575,000 acres under long-term dedications from private and publicly traded producer customers. The company said those producers are actively developing the dedicated acreage.

Brazos also referenced a new long-term agreement with a supermajor as part of the commercial support for the expansion. The announcement did not identify that producer, so the agreement should not be attributed to a specific company without a later statement from Brazos or the customer.

The acreage dedications and processing agreements provide a commercial foundation for the plant schedule. They do not, by themselves, identify which producers will use a particular processing train or establish contractor awards for the project.

How Does Cassidy II Fit Brazos Midstream’s Midland Basin System?

Cassidy II extends a processing buildout that includes the Sundance complex in Martin County and the Cassidy complex in Glasscock County. Brazos commissioned the 300 MMcf/d Sundance II plant in February 2026, bringing the Sundance complex’s operated capacity to 500 MMcf/d when combined with the 200 MMcf/d Sundance I plant that began operating in 2024.

Cassidy I is expected to add the next 300 MMcf/d before the end of 2026. Cassidy II would then provide another 300 MMcf/d in summer 2027, resulting in the approximately 1.1 Bcf/d Midland Basin capacity identified in the August announcement.

Brazos describes its Midland Basin system as spanning the core producing areas of West Texas through intrastate gathering pipelines and the two processing complexes. The Cassidy projects add processing capacity in Glasscock County, while Sundance provides the company’s existing processing base in Martin County.

Cassidy II establishes another defined midstream construction window in the Midland Basin after Cassidy I’s scheduled 2026 startup. The announced 300 MMcf/d capacity and summer 2027 service target provide equipment manufacturers, contractors and industrial service firms with a specific project and execution period to monitor.

A cryogenic processing plant of the type Brazos announced could require work involving gas treating and separation, cryogenic equipment, compression, plant piping, civil construction, structural steel, electrical systems, instrumentation, controls and commissioning. Grid-power infrastructure at the Cassidy site could also support electrical and substation-related work as the complex expands.

Those categories are Allstream analysis based on the disclosed plant type and project configuration. Brazos has not announced contractor selections, equipment awards or bid packages for Cassidy II. Confirmed procurement opportunities will depend on later company, contractor or permitting updates.

The timing creates a two-stage project sequence at one location: Cassidy I is targeting mechanical completion by November 2026, and Cassidy II is planned to follow in 2027. That sequencing could allow portions of the site’s infrastructure, construction knowledge and commissioning resources to support the next phase, although Brazos has not described its contracting strategy.
