Mora Energy Closes Tejon and Quail Acquisitions, Reports 200-Mile Midland Basin Gathering Footprint

Allstream Insiders Summary

Mora Energy said it has closed two acquisitions that establish a Midland Basin operating footprint comprising approximately 200 miles of natural-gas gathering pipelines, four compressor stations, an amine treating facility and an acid gas injection well. According to the company’s August 12, 2026 announcement, the combined operations span Andrews, Martin, Howard, Borden, Scurry and Mitchell counties in Texas.

Mora reported acquiring Tejon Treating and Carbon Solutions LLC from funds managed by Bayswater Exploration & Production LLC. The company also reported acquiring West Texas Midstream Gas Services LLC, commonly known as the Quail system, from Williams Companies Inc.

The company said it intends to use the acquired infrastructure as a platform for organic expansion and additional acquisitions. Funds managed by NGP Energy Capital Management increased their equity commitments to Mora, and the company closed a new revolving credit facility led by BOK Financial and Huntington Bank.

What Did Mora Energy Acquire in the Midland Basin?

Mora’s announcement describes the acquired platform as natural-gas gathering, compression and sour-gas treating infrastructure in the Midland Basin. The company reported that the combined assets also include an amine treating facility and an acid gas injection well.

Tejon Includes Sour-Gas Gathering and Treating

Mora described Tejon as a natural-gas gathering, compression and sour-gas treating business in the northeast Midland Basin.

Quail Includes Gathering and Compression Infrastructure

Mora described Quail as natural-gas gathering and compression infrastructure in the northwest Midland Basin. Mora reported acquiring the business through West Texas Midstream Gas Services LLC from Williams Companies Inc.

Mora said it intends to use the combined acquired infrastructure as a platform for continued organic expansion and additional acquisitions.

Mora Reports Increased Equity Commitments and a New Credit Facility

Mora said funds managed by NGP significantly increased their equity commitments and that the company closed a new revolving credit facility. BOK Financial and Huntington Bank led the new facility.

Chief Executive Officer Elliot Gerson said the company intends to pursue organic development and additional acquisitions. The article treats that statement as Mora’s growth strategy rather than as an announcement of a sanctioned construction project.

Mora Returns to Operating Permian Midstream Infrastructure

Mora’s release reports the closing of the two acquisitions, the sellers, the combined infrastructure footprint, the increased NGP commitment and the closing of the new revolving credit facility. Gerson described the transactions as the Mora team’s return to owning and operating midstream infrastructure in the Permian Basin.

Allstream therefore characterizes the announcement as an acquisition and operating-platform event. References to future organic development and additional acquisitions remain attributed to Mora’s stated strategy.
