2026 Spring Refining and Equipment Standards Meeting May 4-May 8, 2026

The 2026 Spring Refining and Equipment (CRE) Standards Meeting is being presented as an in-person meeting and will be open to industry professionals who wish to participate. This meeting is scheduled from Monday, May 4 to Friday, May 8, 2026, in Salt Lake City, UT.

Participation in the Refining & Equipment Standards Meeting, is an invaluable opportunity to be a part of how the U.S. petroleum industry develops and maintains state-of-the-art standards.

The development of consensus standards is one of API’s oldest and most successful programs. It covers over 800 standards for all segments of the oil and natural gas industry. The breadth of this vital program is an important indication of the varied industry contacts that attendees can make during the sessions and networking opportunities.

The Committee on Refining Equipment, CRE, is responsible for approximately 220 standards, including many that form the basis of the API Inspection Program.

The Committee on Refinery Equipment, CRE, is responsible for over 220 standards that form the basis of the API Individual Certification (ICP) and Process Safety Site Assessment (PSSAP) Program. The technical subcommittees that report to the CRE are:

In accordance with our ANSI-approved Procedures for Standards Development, API’s standards development process:

Openness
Participation in API standards activities is open to all parties (persons and organizations) that have a direct and material interest in the subject of a standard.

Balance
API seeks broad input to its standardization activities including the participation of all parties representing interest categories appropriate to the nature of the standard and allows for open attendance at standards meetings.

Consensus
API develops industry standards based on consensus. Consensus is established when substantial agreement has been reached by directly and materially interested parties that are voting members of the committee/consensus body.

These groups identify the need, then develop, approve, and revise standards and other technical publications. Deadline for Sponsor and Exhibitor Cancellations and Refunds: Friday, March 6, 2026.

Payment is due in full at the time of registration. If you require an invoice, your payment is due thirty (30) days from the receipt of your invoice. Full payment for sponsors and for exhibitors must be received to API no later than Friday, March 6, 2026.

Sponsors and exhibitors may cancel their obligation up to Friday, March 6, 2026. However, 50% of the fee for sponsors and for exhibitors is nonrefundable. Notice of cancellation must be submitted in writing to registrar@api.org. Refunds will not be given on cancellations received after Friday, March 6, 2026.
