Speaker
Katie Thompson
Chief Executive Officer, Steelhead Tubular
Katie Thompson is the Founder and CEO of Steelhead Tubular, a woman-owned supplier of OCTG, line pipe, HDPE, and conduit serving the energy, industrial, utility, infrastructure, and construction markets.
Katie began her career as a flight attendant before an unexpected opportunity introduced her to pipe sales. She went on to build a career in the tubular industry, developing customer relationships and supporting pipe programs before moving into business ownership.
In 2019, Katie co-founded Bull Creek Pipeline Services, a pipeline construction company that has grown to more than 500 employees. She launched Steelhead Tubular in 2020, building the company during a period of significant uncertainty in the energy market.
Today, Katie leads Steelhead Tubular’s continued growth across its core pipe and tubular markets. Steelhead is certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council and the U.S. Small Business Administration as a Women Owned Small Business.
