Featured Guest Speaker: Charles Hightower, Sr. Manager – Safety, from Energy Transfer.
Charles Hightower, MS, CSP, is an accomplished safety professional with more than 18 years of experience leading occupational safety, health, and risk management programs across the energy industry. He currently serves as Senior Safety Manager of Corporate Safety Programs for Energy Transfer, where he leads strategic safety initiatives that support operational excellence, regulatory compliance, contractor management, industrial hygiene, and workforce safety across the organization.
Charles holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Safety from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master of Science in Fire and Emergency Management Administration from Oklahoma State University. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), serves as an adjunct instructor, and remains actively engaged in advancing the safety profession through leadership, education, and industry involvement.
Throughout his career, Charles has been passionate about developing practical safety solutions, strengthening safety culture, and helping organizations achieve operational excellence while protecting their most valuable asset—their people. His leadership has contributed to significant improvements in safety performance, contractor oversight, safety leadership development, and organizational accountability initiatives.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Charles is a devoted family man. He has been married to his wife, Charnay Hightower, CPA, for 15 years. Together they are raising their two children, Charles Hightower III (“Tripp”), age 12, and Camille Hightower, age 8. Family remains at the center of everything he does and serves as a constant source of motivation and inspiration.
When he is not focused on safety leadership, Charles enjoys spending time on the golf course. While he readily admits he is far more passionate about golf than he is skilled at it, he enjoys every opportunity to play. He is also an avid sports fan who proudly supports the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Dallas Cowboys, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams.
Charles is committed to lifelong learning, servant leadership, and making a positive impact both professionally and personally. He believes that strong relationships, continuous improvement, and genuine care for people are the foundation of sustained success.

Check-In
Upon payment and registration completion you will receive a “ticket” in your email that includes a QR Code. Please have that email (or QR Code) pulled up on your mobile device as you prepare to check in to speed up the process. Your code will be scanned at the registration desk and you’ll be checked in. Once checked in, you can pick up your name tag and drink tickets. Note: that the QR Code is specific to your registration for this meeting and will not work otherwise.
