Hector Rivero
President & CEO, Texas Chemistry Council

The Texas Chemistry Council (TCC), founded in 1953, is the largest state trade association representing the chemical manufacturing industry in the United States. TCC represents over 70 companies operating more than 200 manufacturing plants and research facilities across Texas. As the industry’s voice at the State Capitol and with regulatory agencies, TCC member companies account for more than $250 billion in assets, support over 500,000 jobs, and contribute significantly to Texas’ economy, including over $50 billion in annual exports.

Hector Rivero is a highly respected business leader and legislative strategist with more than 30 years of experience in government affairs. He has played a key role in advancing major reforms across tax policy, civil justice, education, environmental regulation, and constitutional law.

In addition to leading TCC, Rivero is the Founder and Chairman of the Texas Business Round Table and Chairman of the Texas Civil Justice League. He has served on numerous boards and advisory committees, including the Texas Association of Business, Texas Taxpayers and Research Association, Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, and the Texas A&M Engineering School Process Safety Center.

Rivero was honored with the Industry Icon Award by the Economic Alliance – Houston Port Region. He is a graduate of the University of Texas and resides in Austin, Texas.
