Hosted by the Energy Systems Laboratory (ESL), a division of the Texas A&M University System’s Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES), the Texas Energy Summit returns to Austin for three days of timely conversations, practical insight, and cross-sector collaboration.

About the Summit

Now in its 23rd year, the Texas Energy Summit will explore the intersection of air quality and energy systems, including the electric grid, transportation, oil and gas, and industrial sectors.

The Summit brings together leaders from government, industry, academia, and nonprofit organizations to examine the technologies, policies, and programs that can accelerate emissions reductions and improve air quality across Texas.

Sessions will address energy management, renewable energy, storage, zero-emission fleets, sustainability, resiliency, energy efficiency, and clean energy technologies. Attendees will also explore policies and programs that can improve air quality, support economic development, advance new technologies, and reduce costs and waste.

What to Expect

The Summit will bring together leaders from policy, utilities, business, research, technology, community, and advocacy to discuss the issues shaping the future of energy in Texas.

• October 26: Pre-conference workshops from 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., followed by a Welcome Reception from 5:30–7:00 p.m.
• October 27: Summit Day 1 from 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., followed by an off-site Networking Reception from 5:30–7:00 p.m.
• October 28: Summit Day 2 from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., including the Malcolm Verdict Memorial Poster Competition.
