Turner builds on decades of modular fabrication experience supporting energy and industrial projects
HOUSTON, TEXAS – October 2, 2026 – Colby Plaia, Vice President of Construction & Modular Fabrication for Turner Industries, recently participated in the panel discussion, “Expanding LNG Access Through Modular and Small Scale LNG Development,” at the LNG Operations North America Summit, held in Houston.
The discussion was moderated by Paul Sullivan, Senior Vice President, LNG Americas, Worley. Plaia joined Todd Haley, EVP Engineering & Construction, Power LNG, and Caroline Burda, Founder, Lumina Env.
Proven Modular Fabrication Experience
Turner Industries brings decades of modular fabrication experience to the conversation around modular and . The company’s capabilities include small process skids, pipe rack modules and larger process modules for pipeline, petrochemical, refinery, LNG and power generation projects.
Turner says its fabrication operations support upstream, midstream and downstream clients in the United States and abroad. Its “one solution” approach combines modular fabrication with pipe fabrication, construction, equipment and specialized transportation, electrical and instrumentation, and other industrial services.
For complex projects, modular fabrication can shift a substantial portion of assembly activity into controlled fabrication environments before delivery to the jobsite. Turner says this approach can help reduce on-site labor requirements, limit material waste and shorten project timelines while preserving flexibility as project needs evolve.
Gulf Coast Fabrication Footprint
Turner reports that its modular fabrication locations, extending from Corpus Christi, Texas, and across the southeastern United States, include more than 2 million square feet of fabrication, clean room, climate controlled painting and laydown space. The modular facilities combine road and water access, including access to the Intracoastal Waterway, to support multiple delivery options.
Why the LNG Operations Summit Panel Matters
The session title placed modular and small scale LNG development at the center of the discussion. Plaia’s participation brought Turner’s construction and modules perspective to a panel that also included LNG engineering, construction and environmental participants.
As LNG developers evaluate configurations, schedules, transportation constraints and construction approaches, the ability to fabricate and transport modules can be an important execution consideration. The panel did not announce a project, contract, technology award or investment, and this release does not treat the discussion as a project-specific procurement event.
