We look forward to an exciting day at the Scouts Honor Shooting Classic, hosted at the unique Providence Plantation in Rosharon — a decked-out venue with a vintage feel and wide-open ranges, creating the perfect setting for friendly competition, fellowship, and a great day outdoors.

Event Schedule

Flight 1
Registration & Breakfast: 7:00 AM
Shotgun Start: 8:30 AM

Flight 2
Registration & Lunch: 11:00 AM
Shotgun Start: 1:00 PM

How to Prepare

Clothing & Comfort

• • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing
  • Team shirts are encouraged for spirit and unity
  • A wide-brim hat or cap is highly recommended
  • Comfortable walking shoes are a must (this is a walking course)
  • Hiking boots are great
  • Tennis shoes are perfectly fine

Shooting Gear

• • Shotgun: 12 or 20 gauge (ammo is provided—please confirm your choice)
  • Shooting vest (optional, but padding is helpful)
  • Shell bag (we provide a goody bag if you don’t have one)
  • Shooting glasses & hearing protection
  • Extras will be available on site if needed

Weather & Hydration

• • Sunscreen is strongly recommended
  • Electrolyte drinks if you’re heat-sensitive
  • Water, sodas, and plenty of food will be provided throughout the day

A Few Helpful Reminders

• • This is a walking course—plan accordingly
  • Ammo will be provided for both 12 & 20 gauge
  • Please ensure your team’s gauge selections were submitted during registration
  • A full safety orientation will be conducted before each flight
  • Come ready for a safe, fun, and competitive day on the course
