Position Overview

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, energetic, creative, and highly motivated Sales & Business Development Intern to help drive new business opportunities for Allstream Energy Partners.

This is primarily an origination and sales-focused role. The ideal candidate enjoys networking, meeting new people, creating content, generating ideas, and opening doors to new client relationships.

You will work closely with our Marketing and Growth teams to identify opportunities, develop relationships, generate leads, and bring innovative ideas that help expand Allstream’s presence across the Energy, Oil & Gas, Industrial, Data Center, and Technology sectors.

We are looking for someone who brings energy, creativity, initiative, and a strong desire to help grow the business.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales Origination

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Industrial, Data Center, and Technology sectors.
  • Build relationships with marketing leaders, executives, business owners, and industry decision-makers.
  • Attend networking events, conferences, trade shows, industry gatherings, and client meetings.
  • Conduct outreach through LinkedIn, email, phone calls, and industry connections.
  • Generate qualified leads and help build the sales pipeline.
  • Schedule discovery meetings and introductions for the leadership team.
  • Support proposal development and client presentations.
  • Help expand Allstream’s visibility and market presence throughout the energy industry.

Content-Driven Business Development

  • Participate in content creation initiatives that support brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Assist with podcast development, guest outreach, and interview coordination.
  • Create and appear in social media content when appropriate.
  • Capture and create short-form content from events and industry activities.
  • Support development of video interviews, reels, industry highlights, and thought leadership content.
  • Help identify content opportunities that can generate new business relationships.

Collaboration with Marketing & Growth Team

  • Work closely with internal marketing and growth teams to transition opportunities into active projects.
  • Collaborate on campaign ideas and business development initiatives.
  • Provide market intelligence, customer feedback, and industry insights.
  • Help ensure a smooth handoff from sales origination to project execution.
  • Contribute creative ideas to improve client acquisition and engagement strategies.

  • Experience creating social media content.
  • Vlogging experience.
  • Podcasting experience.
  • Video production or editing experience.
  • Experience creating Instagram Reels, LinkedIn videos, TikTok content, or YouTube Shorts.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn prospecting and outreach.
  • Sales, recruiting, business development, or marketing experience.
  • Experience attending industry events or conferences.
  • Journalism, communications, public relations, or media background.

Compensation & IncentivesBase Compensation

  • $2,500 Monthly Base

Performance Incentives

  • $250 Bonus on Press Releases
  • $500 Bonus on Promotional Deals
  • $1,200 Bonus on Monthly Retainer Sales
  • $2,000 Bonus on Premium AI Retainer Sales
